The Sony Xperia Z2 is a Sony flagship tablet which was launched in Barcelona in Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February. The Sony Xperia Z2 is the successor to Sony Xperia Z which was launched last year at Mobile World Congress.
Sony has launched this tablet in some parts of the world and now the tablet arrives in India after its success in some parts of the world. The Sony Xperia Z2 is available in India at a price tag of Rs. 49,990 at an online retailer for its 4G LTE variant. The tablet is available on the official website of the company with the same price tag and only no Wi-Fi variant has yet been listed.
The Xperia Z2 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box. The Xperia Z2 tablet has a 10.1 – inch Triluminos full-HD display, which is powered by X-reality with Live Color LED. The tablet also has digital noise cancellation technology and was regarded as world’s slimmest tablet. The width of the tablet is 6.4mm and weighs 426 grams.
The tablet is backed by a 2.3 GHz quad – core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device includes connectivity options like 4G LTE, Bluetooth, DLNA, Wi-Fi, and GLONASS. The tablet has rear camera of 8.1 – megapixel and front facing camera of 2.2 – megapixel. The Xperia Z2 has inbuilt memory of 16GB which can be further expandable up to 64GB through microSD card.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is certified by IP55/IP58 certificate that means the device is waterproof device. The dimensions and weight of the device is 266X172X6.4mm and 426 grams respectively. The tablet is backed by a non-removable battery of 6000mAh which delivers up to 1260hrs talk time on 2G and up to 1200hrs of talk time on 3G network.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is available in two color variants Black and White in India, but the 16GB tablet is available in Black color only via Infibeam (http://goo.gl/OjCQox). The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet will be in the hands of the customer in 5 to 6 business days after it was ordered.
