Microsoft India is sending an OTA (Over-the-air programming) update to enable 4G support for Lumia smartphones. This is a minor software update which will enable 4G support for Lumia devices, once you update it. The mobile market in India is growing gradually and companies are coming with new features. This is something company has done after the Airtel has rolled out its 4G service across the country. No doubt, the other mobile companies have to roll out the 4G service but it is good for the guys who are using Microsoft or Nokia Lumia smartphones and Airtel network.
Microsoft has checked the need of enabling 4G LTE networks on devices, these were actually built into the hardware but software update was not rolled put by the company. In case, you are using a Microsoft or Nokia Lumia smartphones which has 4G support, you may update your device to work on 4G network. Company has not shared any official list, however, you may check out the below mentioned devices that are getting the update :-

- Lumia 925
- Lumia 930

The company said that OTA simply enables 4G support for Lumia smartphones on a software level, which was hidden on a lot of units, despite already having the required LTE modem.
