At the Google India Event today, Google has announced that Asus Chromebit will launch in India in January 2016. It will be sold in Rs 7999. Asus Chromebit is a compact stick developed by Asus and runs on Chrome operating system. The device can be plugged in the HDMI port of a TV or a monitor, the device will turn a TV into a computer. The design of the Asus Chromebit is compact and fan-less. The device was announced in April 2015 by Google. It is being sold in the U.S. since last month priced at $85. The same device will start selling in India in January 2016 at Rs 7999. Let’s see specifications of Asus Chromebit-

The device has quad-core Rockchip RK3288 processor and Mali T764 GPU. It has 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The Asus Chromebit C S10 comes with 16GB storage. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (Dual-Band) and Bluetooth 4.0 in terms of connectivity. There are HDMI Port, USB 2.0 Port and DC power in port in the device. There is an 18-watt adapter provided with the device which provide the power. If we see the measurements of the device then it measures 123x31x17mm. The Asus Chromebit weighs only 75 grams.

The Asus Chromebit C S10 comes with HDMI extension cable and hook-and-loop adhesive stickers. This helps you to hide the device behind the TV or stick it at the back of TV. The USB port of the device is located on the top so you can easily access it. Asus Chromebit will launch in India was announced by Ceaser Sengupta, the product management director at Google India Event held in Delhi today.

You can play games or do complex photo editing like Photoshop with the help of this device, but it will help you to browse the internet and simple file editing. Asus Chromebit is a low-cost device which turns a simple monitor into web-surfing station. The device can connect a Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse to operate it.
