Samsung has launched their Gear S2 and S2 Classic smartwatches in India. The Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch was launched last year in IFA Event and now the company is releasing this device in India. Samsung has also launched it virtual reality headset Gear VR in the country today. The price of Gear S2 in India is Rs 24300 and Gear S2 Classic price is Rs 25800. These two devices are now available to purchase from Flipkart. The Gear VR headset launched today has a price tag of Rs 8200.

Samsung Gear S2 and S2 Classic launched in India

If we talk about the smartwatches configuration launched today then both Gear S2 and S2 Classic runs on the Tizen-based operating system. There is 1.2 Inch of circular AMOLED Display with a resolution of 360X360 pixels in both smartwatches. The screen of these wearables offers 302ppi pixel density. Not only this for extra protection the screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The simple and classic versions of these smartwatches is powered with a 1GHz processor and there is 512MB RAM. These two smartwatches houses 4GB internal storage to store documents.

The connectivity features of the smartwatch include 3G, NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The Samsung Gear S2 and S2 Classic is IP68 certified means the device is water and dust resistant. The Samsung Gear S2 is backed with 300 mAh battery and Samsung Gear S2 Classic is backed with 250 mAh battery. Both devices support wireless charging feature. The phone has Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer, and Heart Rate sensor. The Gear S2 Classic comes with the leather band which comes in brown and grey colour variants.

Another device Samsung releases in India is Gear VR headset. Samsung launched this headset in 2014 but it is now releasing in India. The device launched in the country is 22% lighter than the device launched than the previous device. It also has some better features than the previous version.
