Microsoft has delayed the update to existing Windows 8.1 devices for one more month. Windows 10 Mobile update operating system update was scheduled to roll out in January. But now, it will be rolled out in February 2016. As per a report published in VentureBeat the company has sent the email saying that the update is not ready yet to get delivered. They said that Windows 10 Mobile update to roll out in February 2016.

After the release of the new smartphones with Windows 10 operating system last year in December, it was expected that Microsoft will release the update by January. But now the company has delayed it for one more month. Microsoft is not any kind of rush they are concentrating on making this update appropriate for all kind of devices. This is why they are taking this much of time.

This delay is certainly going to benefit Microsoft. Their Windows 10 operating system mobiles like Lumia 950 and 950 XL sale boost since the update is delayed. Also, the customers who were waiting for the release of the update have to purchase the Lumia device with Windows 10 OS or wait for another month.

According to Microsoft, this update will be delivered to limited handsets. These handsets are Lumia 735, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 540, Lumia 535, Lumia 532, Lumia 435, and Lumia 430. So, the users with other than these handsets waiting for Windows 10 update are disappointed. Also, they have already released an app named Windows 10 upgrade advisor which checks that your phone is eligible for the Windows 10 update or not. You can download this app from Microsoft Store. This app will also help you to know that your phone need any update prior to installing Windows 10 or it needs to clear space in your storage.
