Android Marshmallow

Yesterday, ASUS has rolled out Android Marshmallow 6.0 for their smartphones. You can upgrade your smartphones to the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 now.

The update is available for a few of the smartphones as of now. The below mentioned ASUS smartphones will receive the Android Marshmallow update in March 2016:

  • ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Laser ( ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE601KL)
  • ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
  • ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)
  • ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)

The company has also shared that the other devices will get an update in April 2016.

Features available after updating to the Android Marshmallow on an ASUS smartphone:

  • Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail apps will be replaced with ZenUI apps—ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar as the default apps in the Android Marshmallow version.
  • The apps will be replaced in the Android M version of ZenUI if users restore to factory settings after the update.


ASUS Zenfone Zoom was launched last month that has a price tag of Rs. 37,999. It has 5.5 Inch of screen display. It is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core processor and runs onAndroid 5.0 Lollipop.
