ASUS is known as a go-to brand when customers look for luxury specifications in a budgeted range and the new Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation is offering same. We have covered a news where we have shared the price and specification of the phone. However, today in this post, I’ll be sharing detailed information about the product. So, let’s begin with design and build.
Design and Build
When you take a first look of the Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation, you will get a premium feel as it has a metallic hairline finish. The design is bound to make heads turn when you take it out in public. The phone comes with an ergonomic arc design, managing to be only 3.6 mm at its thinnest edge. The positioning of the buttons is available on both side and right-handed/left-handed people can use it with equal ease. The phone is easy to handle in one hand and it is really easy to multitask. It has got the powerful processor, the dual sim card, and the thin design in such a way, that the form factor of the phone retains its usability quotient. There are different colors available and you can chose that suits your mood and personality. It comes in Glamour Red, Yellow, Ceramic White, Silver Blue, Gold and Silver colors.
The phone is packed with 5MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. With the price tag of Rs 5,299 the 5MP camera looks very appealing, though who uses camera specifications of 13 MP will criticize it but the price matter. Moreover, the pixels don’t matter while clicking the photos, the software plays a huge role. We’ll also discuss here that how you will get a better picture with this phone. As you know there is another variant of Asus Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd Gen, which is giving rear camera of 8MP and a front camera of 2MP. The phone is priced at Rs 5,699. So, if you want you can go ahead with second variant. There is a unique technology i.e. the ‘PixelMaster’ technology which can give output in 16 different modes- be it for clicking pictures during the day or night.
The zero shutter lag also ensures perfect photos in a snap. Three modes that stood out for me were as below:
Backlight HDR Mode
This mode reduces the shadow effect. It allows the images to have a better brightness and contrast factor by expanding the dynamic range of the shot.
Low Light Mode
This feature increases the light sensitivity of the image by up to 400%, while reducing the noise and boosting the colour contrast every time. This camera is ideal for users who do not wish to worry about the light condition when capturing something they like. A feature that allows the users to produce clear and bright images in low light as well.
The beautification mode subtly balances the facial features, softens the tones and removes blemishes to make you and your friends look even better.
There is another cool feature available in the phone with which you can build a mini movie. This application allows users to combine different photos into short movies. Once the movie is created, you can add musical notes and text of your choice. Further, you can quickly share that via social media, email, cloud services, and YouTube.
In spite of being in the budget category, the Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation still comes with great storage capacity. It is packed with a 1GB RAM, which ensures that you never have to worry about seeing the dreaded – ‘phone capacity full’ message pop up on your phone. Another amazing thing that you can get with the Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation is 100 GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years. Don’t worry, it is completely free!
To redeem this offer, you need to go to the Google Drive app by April 1st, 2018.
The ASUS ZenUI
To be honest, my favorite aspect on ASUS’ Zenfone range is the ZenUI. It is ASUS’ personalized gift to their users. With a new cool design and features, it allows users to create classic customization on your phone. It allows you to have a lock screen accompanied by a customizable font and icon.
Within the ZenUI, the idea that excites me the most is the ‘ZenMotion’- which allows users to access everything on their phone with just an easy swipe to launch a variety of applications, see notifications of incoming messages, missed calls, and a lot more. One more added feature is Boost feature- which acts like your phone’s personal clean up assistant. You need to just tap the icon and it will clean up background apps and increase its speed.
This is something that everyone like about the ASUS phone, Ypi can simply swipe up on the home screen to access easy customization tools. With ZenUI launcher, you can go ahead and choose your wallpaper, pick your icons and arrange your apps in a moment.
It is a dual sim phone and matches your needs of smart and quick performance. It is powered by Qualcomm quad core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. The SonicMaster Technology delivers crystal clear sound to your ears, I am a music lover and I liked it. It has an advanced antenna design that ensures fantastic performance, even in areas with poor signal. Be it for your social media needs, or your routine daily tasks, the phone has adequate capability built into it, to offer a power-packed performance. It has 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS connectivity option. Along with that, the phone is backed up with 2,070mAh removable battery.
We live in a world that is noisy all the time, and to reflect on that real time experience, ASUS has come up with the NoiseTalk Zero which is an innovative combination of linear-echo-cancellation (LEC) and noise-suppression (NS) that works towards wiping out audio rebound and in reducing background noise to a minimum. In fact, the Zenfone’s LEC is 1.2X (20%) better at blocking echoes and is 2.3X (130%) more effective at noise suppression in multiple environments comparatively. As a result, users get the chance to experience crystal-clear quality during their calls.
According to me, the Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation has got a very good specs in budgeted range. It has got a classy design and cool camera, good processor and overall performance is very good. The variant with the 0.3MP/5MP (front + rear) camera being priced at just Rs. 5,299, and the 2MP/8MP (front + rear) camera at INR 5,699. With these price tag and cool design, it can literally be the ‘Go-To’ phones for the budget section.
