Lava has launched its new Lava A82 with the price tag of Rs 5,299. The phone is exclusively available via Tata’s CLiQ online store with a discounted price tag of Rs. 4,549. The company has made this announcement on the official twitter handle and confirmed the launch in a tweet.

The Lava A82 has a 5-inch TFT FWVGA display with a pixel density of 196ppi. It has 480×854 pixels of resolution. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

Storage wise, the phone has 1GB RAM and you can store up to 8GB of data in the phone. The memory is expandable in nature and it can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Camera wise, it has a 5 megapixels primary camera with LED flash and 2 megapixels front camera.

It is a dual-SIM smartphone that is 3G enabled. Other connectivity options supported by the Lava A82 are GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. The Lava A82 dimensions are 144×72.7x9mm and is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The Lava A82 comes in White, Blue and Gold colors with a price tag of Rs. 5,299 (MRP) and it will be available at all retail stores and multi-brand outlets across the country.

Nowadays, manufacturers are focusing on 4G smartphones under the price tag of Rs. 5000 and according to me, it makes no sense to launch 3G smartphone in this price range. Anyhow, we’ll how much popular this phone will be in future. 🙂
